Exploring Sound on Stage

Welcome to my creative journey as a sound designer. Passionate about crafting immersive aural experiences, I have had the privilege of collaborating with talented choreographers and dancers to shape the soundscapes of various pieces. My work involves developing soundscapes and musical compositions that seamlessly intertwine with the movements and emotions conveyed on stage. From evocative musicalization to the creation of rich sonic atmospheres, my role as a sound designer is to enhance and elevate the artistic vision of each dance piece.

The Shape of a Dream is a 2022 piece.

Sasa Queliz's post-pandemic dance-theater experiment and project presents a community whose members face isolation, insecurity, anger and aggression, and in the end unite on the common ground of their rootedness to the land with one another.

The project addresses the experience that we have all just lived through and

that when people become socially disconnected from each other, they also lose connection with themselves and that the unity of a person's body and mind can be lost.

A person's body and mind. The project asks about this state of disconnection in a person: do we need others to be connected to ourselves?

"There is something about that feeling of total connection that cannot be ignored or forgotten."

Sasa Queliz brings together an interdisciplinary group of artists from different backgrounds and movement

practices to present an audiovisual performance. Together they construct and deconstruct reality,

between internal history and external action. The audience shares intimacy in a virtual space: What do we

miss? What do we wish for? How are we separated from each other, how are we connected?

The question of the place of the self in the system, the immersion in technology, the perception of reality and we individuals who fall out of this system. The codes we receive from the media are not clear, confused and affect our bodies.

What is truth, what is fiction? in search of oneself, in an open space, one chooses one's role as

a spectator or as a performer. The theater becomes a non-linear space, multi-layered with sound, image, interaction, movement and video.
